§ 01 — The problem

When the books are off, everything feels harder.

You don't need another app or another login. You need someone who understands the trades and can tell you which jobs actually make money.

01

You don't know what each job made

Materials, labor, and subs get lumped together, so the profit on a job is a guess instead of a number you can trust.

02

Receipts pile up in the truck

Home Depot runs, fuel, and tool purchases stack up on the dash and in the glovebox — and half of them never make it into the books.

03

Tax time turns into a scramble

Every spring starts with a shoebox of receipts, missing 1099s for your subs, and questions you wish you'd answered months ago.

What we help with.

From a one-time cleanup to ongoing monthly support — built around how a trades business actually runs, not a generic template.

01

Cleanup & catch-up

Months (or years) of messy books recategorized, reconciled, and tied out — so you start clean.

  • + Bank & credit-card reconciliations
  • + Chart of accounts rebuilt for the trades
  • + Opening-balance corrections
02

Monthly bookkeeping

Ongoing categorization, reconciliations, and reports you actually read — delivered on a calendar, not a panic.

  • + Month-end close
  • + P&L + balance sheet
  • + Owner Q&A each month
03

QuickBooks Online support

Setup, cleanup, and the answers to "why does this look weird?" — without you having to Google for an hour after a long day.

  • + QBO setup & app integrations
  • + Bank rules & automations
  • + Receipt-capture workflows
04

Job costing & materials

See what every job actually made. Materials, labor, and markup tracked so you can bid the next one with confidence.

  • + Per-job profit tracking
  • + Materials & supplier costs
  • + Labor vs. materials breakdown
05

Trucks, tools & equipment

Vehicles, trailers, power tools, and equipment loans recorded right so depreciation and interest don’t trip up your CPA.

  • + Asset & depreciation schedules
  • + Vehicle & mileage tracking
  • + Equipment loan amortization
06

Tax-ready financials & 1099s

Year-end packages your CPA can actually use — with subcontractor 1099s, schedules, and answers attached.

  • + Subcontractor 1099 prep
  • + Year-end close package
  • + CPA hand-off file
§ 03 — How it works

Three steps. No surprises.

01

Book a call

A short, no-pressure conversation about where your books are now and what you actually need.

02

Review the scope

We take a look at your QuickBooks file, write up exactly what's needed, and quote a fixed scope — no surprises.

03

Start cleanup or ongoing support

We get to work. You get regular updates and a single point of contact — not a help-desk queue.

§ 04 — Why clients come to us
“Your books should not feel like a mystery. We clean up the details, keep the numbers organized, and give you answers you can actually use.”

01

Detail without the drama

We read every transaction. We ask the boring questions. We leave notes you can actually follow.

02

Responsive, not robotic

You hear back from a person — usually the same day — not a ticket number or a generic reply.

03

Plain-English explanations

We'll tell you why a number moved, what it means, and whether it's something to worry about. No jargon.

04

Built for trades work

Messy files don't scare us. Years behind, owner-mixed accounts, cash jobs, three-way transfers — that's the work.

§ 05 — FAQ

Honest answers.

If your question isn't here, just ask on the call. There's no script.

Years. Genuinely. We do cleanup work as a specialty — if you haven't reconciled in 18 months, that's a normal starting point, not a deal-breaker. We just need to scope it honestly.
No. We work in QuickBooks Online, the platform most trades businesses already use. If you're somewhere else, we'll talk about whether moving makes sense — but a switch is never the first step.
Yes. Job costing is a big part of what we do for handymen — we track materials, labor, and subs per job so you know your real margin and can bid the next one with confidence.
Cleanup is quoted as a fixed scope after we see the file. Monthly bookkeeping is a flat monthly rate based on transaction volume and complexity. You'll see the number before you sign anything.
We're bookkeepers — we keep your books accurate so your CPA can file a clean return. If you don't have a CPA, we can recommend one. The two roles work best as a team.
Yes. We track what you pay each sub through the year and prepare the 1099s at year-end, so nothing gets missed when the deadline hits.
